SAIVA Technology Recognized Twice in McKnight’s Technology Awards

Two SAIVA Healthcare customers were selected among the finalist in the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards, one of the largest and most prestigious events celebrating providers’ use of technology in skilled nursing, senior living, and home care.  The awards recognize, champion, and celebrate providers that have successfully improved care and services, and furthered their missions with the help of notable technology.

Both in the skilled nursing track, Michigan Masonic Home placed in the Keep it Super Simple category for its submission, Machine Learning to Reduce Hospitalizations, and Trio Healthcare in the Quality category for Rehospitalizations Reduced and Reputation Enhanced with SAIVA Technology entry.

In a broad and rigorous review, an independent judging panel comprising a wide array of national industry experts judged the entries. Final awards will be presented during the virtual McKnight’s Tech Awards & Summit, August 25-26.

“We are especially proud that two key attributes of SAIVA Healthcare’s technology – quality and user experience – were underscored as the basis for the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards,” said Jason Strober, CEO, SAIVA Healthcare.  “Our success stems from our clients achieving their goals and seeing results in managing rehospitalizations and improving patient outcomes. But their recognition in the excellent application of our technology is truly an honor for us.”

While applying machine learning, also referred to as artificial intelligence (AI), to inform clinical practices is relatively new to the post-acute care sector, it promises to have a dramatic impact on patient outcomes. SAIVA technology links data from a provider’s EHR data and applies AI to predict and avoid acute episodes—allowing for greater continuity of care, reduced hospitalization rates, and better clinical and operational outcomes.
